Repiano Cornet - Alex Ramsay

Alex is currently studing in Glasgow to gain a BEng in Electrical Engineering. He started playing the cornet at the age of 5 in the Salvation Army's Winton, Bournemouth Corps in England.

After moving to Scotland in 2005 he joined the Govan Citital Band and also Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass where he spent three years - eventually becoming principal cornet of both bands. In 2007 Alex moved to the Scottish Co-op band.

For seven years Alex was a member of the Salvation Army's highly rated Territorial Youth Band and in 2006, he was asked to be part of the European Youth Brass Band in Belfast.
