Baritone - Brian Mitchell
Brian has been playing now for approximately 50 years. His father played tuba for Broxburn Public Band all his career so it was inevitable that he started playing as well. Brian started off with Armadale Public and progressed to Broxburn for many years, winning the Festival Contest a few times also the Edinburgh Charities contest in the Usher Hall. A second place has been the highest place in the Championship section and one stint at the Albert Hall in 1966. Since the Broxburn days he has had two stints with Kingdom Brass, Bo'ness and Carriden, Kinneil, and finally with the Co. Brians ambitions before he retires are to perhaps win the "Scottish" and have another trip to London.
