Percussion - Kirsten Hughes

Kirsten is currently in her 4th year studing for a B.Ed (Mus) Hons degree at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she studies conducting with Nigel Boddice.

Kirsten has a wide musical interest which has seen her employed as a choral director with Stevenson Choral Society and as an orchestral tutor in Strings and Percussion with North Lanarkshire Schools' Music Groups. She also teaches Percussion, Piano and Music Theory with the East Glasgow Music School. Kirsten also performs as part of the Monklands Light Opera company.

Kirsten played with Bo'ness and Carriden Band between 2005 and 2008 before moving to the Co-op in late 2008
