Back Row Cornet - Stephanie Forbes

Stephanie first started playing cornet with the 118th Glasgow Boys Brigade band aged 7. During her time with the band she became the first female solo champion at the BB's annual contest.Stephanie played principal cornet with Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass for a number of years and enjoyed a contesting run which seen KKB rise from 4th to 2nd section in 3 years & also become 3rd section National Champions at the RAH in 2000. Following that, she played for Kirkintilloch & Dalmellington before joining the Scottish Co-op in 2003.After 4 successful years with them, Stephanie had a short stint on rep with Kingdom Brass before returning to the Co's back row in 2009.Stephanie has recently returned to university and is studying Electrical & Mechanical Engineering at Strathclyde. She funds her student lifestyle by working part-time at her local Co-op.
