Radio Scotland Date For The Co-operative Funeralcare Band

On Sunday, 8th November, 2009, The Co-operative Funeralcare Band will appear on the Radio Scotland programme "Classics Unwrapped". The band will be heard in a programme of music which was recorded in front of a live audience in St. Cuthbert’s Parish Church in Lothian Road, Edinburgh on Friday, 30th October, 2009. The band was conducted by Terry Johns, one of the band’s Associate Conductors and the trumpet soloist was Mark O’Keeffe who gave a performance of Haydn’s trumpet concerto. Among a number of other items which will be heard are "The Hebrides Overture" by Mendelssohn and "The Shepherd’s Song" from "Songs Of The Auvergne" by Canteloube. The programme commences at 5.05p.m.
